About Us
We cut through the noise so you can buy with confidence.
Why we exist
Amazon has over 350 million products. That number grows every day. And somewhere in that ocean of listings, there are genuinely great things worth buying — products that work well, hold up, and don't cost more than they should.
The problem is finding them. Search results are gamed. Reviews are manipulated. "Lightning deals" are often regular prices dressed up with fake markdowns. A product with 4.5 stars and 10,000 reviews might be worse than one with 4.2 stars and 800 reviews, but you'd never know that without digging into the data.
We started dealspot because we were tired of doing that digging for ourselves and figured other people were too. Our goal is simple: surface the products actually worth buying, at prices that are actually good, and skip everything else.
The dealspot editorial team
We're a small team of tech enthusiasts who spend an unreasonable amount of time tracking prices, reading spec sheets, and arguing about whether a $30 pair of earbuds can really compete with one that costs five times more. (Sometimes they can.)
We don't publish author bios with stock photos or invented credentials. We're not "a team of 50+ expert reviewers" — we're a handful of people who care about getting it right. Every recommendation on dealspot is discussed, debated, and backed by research before it goes live.
Our philosophy
Fewer recommendations, higher confidence. That's the core of what we do.
Most deal sites blast out 40 links a day and hope something sticks. We'd rather feature 8 things we genuinely believe in than 100 we're unsure about. If we're not confident a product is worth your money at its current price, it doesn't make the cut. Full stop.
We're opinionated. We'll tell you when a popular product isn't worth the hype, and we'll champion unknown brands when they deserve it. Our job isn't to catalog everything — it's to filter.
How we make money
dealspot earns affiliate commissions when you buy products through our links, primarily through the Amazon Associates Program. This is how we keep the lights on.
Here's what that doesn't mean: commissions never influence what we recommend. We've passed on higher-paying affiliate products because they weren't good enough. We've featured lower-commission items because they were the best option. Our editorial process is completely independent of revenue considerations. You can read the full breakdown on our How We Pick page.
The deal is straightforward — you get honest recommendations, and if you buy through our links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's it.
