dealspot is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

When you click a product link on dealspot and make a purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission. This happens at no additional cost to you — Amazon pays the commission from their end. The price you see on Amazon is the same whether you arrived through our link or not.

Affiliate commissions are how we fund this site. They do not influence which products we recommend, how we rank them, or what we say about them. Our editorial process is completely independent of revenue.

What data we collect

We use basic web analytics to understand how people use dealspot — things like which pages are visited, how long people stay, and what devices they're using. This is aggregate, anonymized data. We don't collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information through normal site usage.

We don't require account creation. We don't have a newsletter sign-up. We don't ask for your email. If you email us directly at editorial@dealspot.fyi, we'll use that address solely to respond to your message and won't add it to any list.

We link to Amazon because that's where the products are. We don't endorse Amazon's data practices — we just think they sell some stuff worth buying.

Data security

Since we collect minimal data, our security approach is straightforward: there's not much to protect. The site is served over HTTPS, and we don't store personal information in databases. We can't leak what we don't have.

Children's privacy

dealspot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We're not in the business of collecting more data, so changes here are likely to be minor clarifications rather than expansions of what we collect.
